The story
I didn't plan
to be a creator.
I spent years as a data analyst cleaning datasets, building dashboards, writing queries in silence. I was good at it. But the gap I kept seeing wasn't a technical problem. It was a communication problem. All this powerful work, invisible to the people it was meant to serve.
"I started Storytelling by Data because I believed data could be humanized. I still do."
In 2022, I started creating on the side. SQL tutorials. Python walkthroughs. Data storytelling frameworks. Built it post by post, reel by reel. Still showing up to a corporate job by day, building an audience by night.
Then in 2024 I wrote a LinkedIn post. Three words: SQL IS DEAD. It hit 10 million impressions. And everything changed. Not because of the virality, but because of what the comments told me. People were hungry for an honest voice about what AI actually means for their careers.
Later that year, I left corporate. Fully. Finally. I pivoted Storytelling by Data toward AI education for real people. Non-technical professionals who need practical tools, not hype. Today the community sits at 160K+ across platforms. And I'm just getting started.
